I'm also ordering an '040 upgrade and version 2.0 of the OS. I have a HP SCSI drive (Model HP97548S) that I've been running off from a Sun 3/50. I'm interested in using this drive as the boot drive for my cube. I just have a of questions on the procedure to do this: 1) What would I need to do to mount the drive internally? What cable should I use (I've heard the internal connector is a SCSI not SCSI-2)? Am I going to have to change the cable when I upgrade to the '040? Is there any problem in mounting an this (full height drive) along with the OD internally? 2) I also have an Archive tape drive that I would like to mount externally. Is there any problem with just buying the NeXT SCSI-SCSI-2 cable to attach it?
