After having had problems with Microsoft Excel and printing from Windows because of a cable (the cable and printer combo worked fine when printing from DOS), I have run into more problems with Windows 3.0 on my new 33MHz 386 Gateway 2000. 1. hDC FirstAps DeskTop module became corrupt and would not run. I had to reinstall it. 2. Word for Windows 1.1 became corrupt and I had to reinstall it. I noticed that the Gateway MS-DOS manual notes that SHARE.EXE should be removed when installing Windows software. Has anyone figured out how to make Windows 3.0 on a DOS 4.01 machine stable yet?
