The following happened to me a few days ago :

I had a line in a resource file (.rc) saying :

BK_0 BITMAP 23EKJK.BMP

This gave a preprocessor error, indicating that
the preprocessor thought the filename to be a
floating-point number (probably because of the
23E...). Changing the filename to '23_EKJK.BMP'
helped...
