Message-ID: <36357@netnews.upenn.edu> Date: 26 Jan 91 05:24:45 GMT Sender: xpert-request@expo.lcs.mit.edu Organization: University of Pennsylvania Lines: 22 I am writing an openlook application that should make it possible for the user to choose fonts of various sizes (i.e. 9pt, 72pt, etc) and display them on a canvas. I have a couple of questions: 1) How does one translate the size information given in a font data structure such as : -adobe-new century schoolbook-bold-r-normal--12-120-75-75-p-77-iso8859-1 into point sizes (9pt...etc)? 2) How can one enlarge a font to a given point size? Thank you, Sylvia Isler isler@grad1.cis.upenn.edu
