Yes, I know, RTFM.  In this case the FM says sweet FA about the problem.
(Qualifier:  I'm sure it does say what needs to be done.  I just can't find
it, so blame me if you want.)  Which is:  in a program how does one change a
viewport widgets view over its child?

I.e., I want position (x,y) of the child to be at the origin of the
viewports window. Can anyone clue me in?
