The goal is to make the server able to handle a seperate window, which displays an external video signal in real time. About two month ago i read an article in a german unix magazine, reviewing the latest meeting of the EXUG (European X User Group). One of the topics was an extension to the X-protocoll for handling video signals, called VEX.
