We have gone over this with them so much. I even make it a point at the start of a new year to call all of his new teachers and explain the problem, I also ask them to call me back if they have reall heavy problems with him. I have explained that sometimes his medication levels need to be changed and they are the ones that can really see the finesigns of a more loss of attention span. But they don't listen, they don't call and say that Klinton is having a hard time focusing in class they just wait until his report card time and leave little nasty notes. By then for that grading period it is a little to late to have his medication ajusted and to do him any good. The only time that care about it is if they can't keep him seated and then they punish him and just call me to remove him from the school that day, and that's caused by them giving him access to a ton of candy. Normally when his meds are low he just sits and doodles, looks around the room, but will stay seated. I have to laugh, when we first put him into this school system they tried to tell me after a few weeks that they thought he was retarded. I of course blew my top. Took him back to the doctor and we had to up his medication and then he was working fine. For someone that they still occasionaly try and tell me is retarded it is amazing that he tested reading at a 12 grade level in 6th grade and last year one the blue ribbon in the school science fair and went on to the county level and took a blue there. If he hadn't been in the sixth grade at the time he could have gone on to compete on the state and up levels, but they cut off that competion at the 7th grade. Well there is this year and a science project that he is working on and we'll see what he does on a state level. I hope he can keep making them eat their words. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!157!3!Pandora.Nigh Internet: Pandora.Nigh@f3.n157.z1.fidonet.org
