Yeh the school system is something else.  When Rob started school
in Calgary we started getting the school prepared in May.  Well,
the first day of school the special ed. supervisor phoned me and
said "Mrs More, you have a handicapped child."  I said, no kidding,
I know that. We got another phone call like that here in Ottawa,
when Rob was in Grade 1 and we registerd him in summer french
program with the school board.  Somebody from the school board
phoned me to tell me Rob is disabled.  I said I know that and so
does the person who coordinates the program, because I talked to
him before registering Rob.  She was pretty rude on the phone,
finally she said she will check and call me back.  She called me
back within an hour and apologized.
