I'm sorry for wasting net bandwidth, but I've seen the term -in several postings, and there has never been a translation. GA = Genetic Algorithm. A Genetic Algorithm is a search/optimisation technique based on an abstraction of evolution. For an introduction to the area see "The Genetic Algorithm Handbook" by Lawrence Davis (Van Nostrand Reinhold), or "Genetic Algorithms in Search, Optimisation and Machine Learning" by David Goldberg (Addison-Wesley). I hope this helps, Geoff. -- Geoff Ballinger, EMAIL: Geoff@Ed.Ac.Uk Department of Artificial Intelligence, University of Edinburgh, 80 South Bridge, Edinburgh, Scotland.
