I am sufficiently ignorant of the currently available systems that I have no biases for or against any of the possible methods, i.e. termcap vs terminfo, DBMS vs toolboxes, etc. E-mail to me if you prefer, I will summarize if there is sufficient interest in this question. For background, I have >25 years of various computing experience from micros to supers and so am not afraid of another package/system/language. Speed of programming is my paramount concern, with cost a close second (I really don't want to pay royalties/copy fees).
