Keywords: IBM ALR lan compatibility Message-ID: <1991Feb12.070440.13960@cs.mcgill.ca> Date: 12 Feb 91 07:04:40 GMT Sender: tracy@bart.cs.mcgill.ca ( Tracy Weber ) Organization: SOCS, McGill University, Montreal, Canada Lines: 19 I need to connect two networks: one already in place running novell netware 2.15 with token ring and the second will consist of 6 ibm ps2 50 with token ring cards and IBM lan support system. I have not bought the server for the second network, because i need to run on this machine novell netware 2.15 to interface with the first network on a MAU token ring card and also IBM lan support system to interface with the second network on another token ring card. Now, i know that ibm made some checks in their programs to see if it's a genuine IBM product, or if the VGA card has IBM in their roms, etc... Does IBM lan support system does that? Because we would prefer to buy a ALR Powerflex instead of an ibm ps2 70 but if it doesn't work, were cooked! We do not have the budget to make that error! If somebody knows the answer ( preferably an IBM person) i would like to hear from you. Please reply by email at: tracy@bart.cs.mcgill.ca no funky footer, and no disclaimer!
