I have had problems with my 9600EX, calling a Telebit at 9600 with MNP-5. I also had some problems calling the same system with an old Codex using MNP-4. When I disabled MNP, problems went away. My best observation is simply "it happens when there's a lot of data movement, especially when I'm receiving." I'm wondering if there might be a buffering problem somewhere, maybe in the Telebit, maybe not. I only lost connection a few times with the Codex, each time during a big ASCII printout. WIth the 9600EX, it was happening all the time. So, there's my 2c. -kdg
