Greetings!
I am looking for some good reference texts that deal
with speech and image processing.  I am interested
in texts that are mathematically comprehensive but
deal with the application aspects (for example speech
encoding, speech compression, modems, image enhancement
etc.).  I already have standard DSP references like
Oppenheim & Schaefer, Rabiner and Gold etc (at least
what's considered standard around here).  I am sure
most of you have your favorites on these subjects.
I would appreciate it if you could share them with
me!
