The program compiles and runs o.k. But - since my machine uses an 8 bit character set (actually DOS850) - I would like to have Jove use 8 bit chars (as you can see, I live in Denmark, and we use those funny looking characters ...). It appears from the code that Jove can run under DOS, using an 8 bit character set, but simply defining IBMPC does not do the trick, as this does a lot of other stuff too that Unix doesn't like. My question now is: has anybody made the necessary changes to have Jove run under 386/ix, using an 8 bit character set ? What will I have to do ?
