I would like to write a new major mode (or if it would be easier, modify an existing one) for Emacs, so that it will be able to handle Matlab scripts more intelligently. How does one go about writing a (simple) emacs mode? I'd like it to know the things that begin and end blocks (so that it can indent properly), for example. P. S. If there already is a mode for Matlab, please let me know where I can get it. Thanks in advance for any advice. Mike Levin (mlevin@jade.tufts.edu)
