Does anyone know of an algorithm ( or a reference to an algorithm) for representing the surface of a sphere ( of arbitrary radius) by a selectable number of regular polygons?? The intent of this endeavor is to determine a collection of rays eminating from the center of the sphere and intersecting the sphere at points equidistant on its surface... Any help, suggestions, etc... are greatly appreciated....Thanks in advance. _______________________________________________________________________________ | Ray Gates "Mama, mama, many worlds | CSC/NASA-Langley have come since I first | gates@cscsparc.larc.nasa.gov left home." | (128.155.42.48) | Phone: 804.865.1725 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: The comments/opinions contained within are my own and do not necessarily represent the opinions of my employer(s). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
