I thought as much. Still, there is an exact linquistic correlation between DIRECT-SUBCLASSES/SUBCLASSES and DIRECT-INSTANCES/INSTANCES (assuming that one allows the ambiguous term "instances"; if not, then one must question whether "subclasses" is always used unambiguously.) -- JonL --
