I have created a named pipe (FIFO) I would like a perl program
to read from.  I would like the program to block on an attempted
read when the pipe is empty.  How can I do this?  I presume the
right usage of ioctl or fcntl will do it, but I have not hit
the right combination.  Please e-mail your answer to me.
