Message-ID: <1991Feb13.031655.11288@athena.mit.edu> Date: 13 Feb 91 03:16:55 GMT Sender: caroma@athena.mit.edu Organization: MIT Lines: 19 Does anyone have a summary of which (or estimates of how many) colleges use Scheme, and/or Abelson & Susmann's Structure_and_ Interpretation_of_Computer_Programs? I vaguely recall there may have been a survey asking this not too long ago, or someone may know by other means. (A high school teacher I know is trying to find evidence that many (or many better) colleges are switching to Scheme (and maybe to SICP), in the hopes of helping bolster a case that Logo may be at least as appropriate a language as Pascal with which to be teaching high school programming classes.) Thank you in advance! Cheers, CarlManning caroma@ai.mit.edu
