Summary: see subject... Keywords: Magic, Sparc, Color Table Message-ID: <1991Feb13.133756.11358@dartvax.dartmouth.edu> Date: 13 Feb 91 13:37:56 GMT Sender: news@dartvax.dartmouth.edu (The News Manager) Distribution: comp Organization: Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH Lines: 27 howdy, We've been having a little bit of trouble with Magic v6.x and I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem or even better, a solution. The problem is that after using Magic (under X-windows) on our Sparcstations, the color palette becomes modified such that the console level (large print, no GUI active) prints white on white and is essentially unreadable. Obviously, it is very difficult to perform even the most basic operations when the monitor is printing white on a white background. The only way I have found to clear the condition is to launch X-windows again, at which point the color table is reset and the console text returns to normal (black on white). Thanks in advance. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Gill Watt (watt@eleazar.dartmouth.edu) Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH 03755 ---------------------------------------------------------------------
