SUNs oftentimes log into either /var/log or /var/adm. Check /etc/syslog.conf for a line something like mail.info /usr/spool/mqueue/syslog or mail.info /var/adm/syslog Also make sure that a loghost is defined in your DNS or /etc/hosts file (ping loghost).
