Lines: 18 Keywords: Black box synths, sequencers, basic set-up I am completely new on this board, so bear with me if I ask some really silly questions at first... I would like to get into the computer music thing, but I don't quite know where to start. I have a Macintosh IIsi, so I imagine I have the computer side of it sorted. I would like to know about good MIDI interfaces, synths (preferably black box w/ separate keyboard, but any info is good), and software. I saw what appeared to be a smart looking beginner's system from Roland for IBM PS/2's. It consisted of a separate keyboard and synth board, with a sequencer/8track mixer software package. It seemed OK, but it may be something I should stay away from, if I'm at all serious about this... Anyhow, help me get started, so I can get some of these tunes out of my head... Thanks!
