wonder if someone could help me..

I am having problems installing minix 1.5.5 on a pc xt with a 48 mg hard card.

my hard card is 48 megs and all partioned for dos, how di I partion it
for minix, just reduced the dos partion by 15 megs using fdisk?

also when I boot up with minix it wont boot uless I diconnect my hard card.

is that becuase I havent partioned it for minix?? help
I am boot up minix with drive a floppy
