This is if I recall correctly how a jury-rigged (or so it seems) cad add-in does it for me. It wasn't my idea, but that's how they did it, I think. And you don't have to expand the environment size. Still, the other methods would probably be better and safer in the long run; I personally have all my utes in one sub directory. It's a mess, but that's only one call.
