Keywords: floppy format asm c Message-ID: <911@ticnj.UUCP> Date: 13 Feb 91 21:20:44 GMT Organization: IEX Corporation Red Bank, NJ Lines: 16 I am trying to format a floppy from a program ( have tried c and asm ) and cannot seem to get it to work. I called the Microsoft Tech line and they were very helpful faxing me the procedure and code segments in c. Unfortunately it doesn't work on my machine ( AT&T 6286 WGS ) with an Olivetti (2/25/89) BIOS ( according to INFOPLUS ). I tried using Int13H functions 18H & 05H along with Int 21H function 44 Subfunction 0DH ( 60H - 40H - 42H ) and I either get the error code 9 ( DMA crossed 64K boundary ) using the Int 13H, or the maching hangs when I do an Int 21H/ODH/60H. Could somebody out there give me a hand with this. I would really appreciate it. Thanks -- US MAIL: Joe Sweador - IEX CORP. 125 Halfmile Rd.
