Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of "Emperical" [sp?]
brand 9-track tape. It may be a refurbished tape!

Background: One of our clients is using this tape and experiencing
a high data error rate. I suspect faulty tape but I haven't received
my samples so that I can generate any test data. Although I will :-).

In the meantime, has anyone out there used this tape or know anything
about it? You may send me mail or or post here! If there's any interest
I am also willing to post my test results.
