When you say that you rebuilt the Makefiles, does that mean that you
also rebuilt the root Makefile by running imake from the root of the
source tree?

% imake -I. -I./config -Timake.tmpl -s Makefile -DTOPDIR=.
% make Makefiles
.
.
% make dependInstall
