A3000 vs PC comparison) Message-ID: <7520@crash.cts.com> Date: 12 Feb 91 00:36:01 GMT Sender: root@crash.cts.com Organization: People-Net [pnet01], El Cajon CA Lines: 19 I have played through DragonStrike all 3 ways on the Amiga 3000, and I have played it for a few hours on a 386 PC. The A3000 version is somewhat faster, the VGA version has somewhat better graphics. Gameplay is about the same, sound on the Amiga version is better, at least as good as the SoundBlaster soundtrack, I thought Amiga sounded better. They are very comparable, but the VGA graphics are a little nicer, I do not know why, it is not the palette that makes them better, but rather the dragon bitmaps themselves are a bit nicer on the VGA version. Maybe that is why the A3000 version performs somewhat better than the PC version (even on a 33 Mhz 386) -Roger UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd ucsd nosc}!crash!pnet01!uzun ARPA: crash!pnet01!uzun@nosc.mil INET: uzun@pnet01.cts.com
