Summary: looking for such a converter/controller Keywords: IDFC, SCSI, hard drives Message-ID: <1991Feb12.221539.15544@midway.uchicago.edu> Date: 12 Feb 91 22:15:39 GMT Sender: asd2@quads.uchicago.edu Followup-To: comp.sys.amiga.hardware Organization: University of Chicago Lines: 13 A friend and I have recently had the good fortune of having obtained a mainframe with about 1/2 gigabyte of hard drive capacity distributed among three 160MB hard drives, and since the mainframe certainly no longer needs that much capacity, we were hoping that there might be a way to interface these drives to our Amigas. The hard drives are manufactured by CDC (Control Data Corporation), and have IDFC interfaces; they came with an AT&T 3B15 mainframe. If anyone knows of any adapters that might allow these to be hooked up to SCSI (or ESDI, IDE, or any other acronym I might have heard of besides IDFC), I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks, Amish Dave (asd2@quads.uchicago.edu)
