I have a Mega 2 with TOS 1.4, Quick ST 2.0, DC Desktop (the original, not the newest version), the Rainbow Utilities, and some other things of pretty much no importance, installed. I also have an ICD Hard Drive with the ICD handler software. Here's the problem: Right after I boot up (I boot up in med res.) and I try to change to low res with the set preferences menu, my computer has a very high tendency to clear the screen and lock up; there's a cursor on the screen and the keyboard reset won't work. My computer changes resolution better if I run a program first after booting up, but that doesn't always help. I've tried disabling some of my programs to isolate the problem, but didn't really have any luck unless my AUTO/ folder were pretty much empty of .prg's. My computer's fine if I change resolutions manually, i.e. make a SetScreen() call myself, but of course GEM gets confused. Also, I have the same problems going from low res. to med res. Any help? Sorry for the long, rambling letter. --Cliff -- cliff@jarthur.claremont.edu | "Cops and women don't mix.
