To the person who asked about archiving libraries.... I detach them, copy them into the HOME directory and purge them from what ever port they are in. Then when you do an archive they are stored as normal variables and end up as part of the save set (sorry VMS term for the archinve file on your PC??). Then when you do a restore you just tore them in the port you want and reattach them, as if you had just downloaded them!! Conrad
