I'd like a backup set to include *all* I have noticed this, the hard way, when recovering memory from an archive. I noticed that the libraries don't come back. I was considering writing a program which first recalled the libraries to real variables first (what a mess) but then I began to wonder if you can run an archive from a program. Haven't tried it yet. Along the lines of backup, the one thing I don't like about the archive files is that you can only recover everything from them. I've been thinking of writing a utility which would archive files individually, so that you could do selective restores. It would run slightly longer for a full backup, but I'm willing to wait, for the added functionality. peraino@gmuvax.gmu.edu
