Keywords: IDE Novell Message-ID: <275@hydroesm.UUCP> Date: 13 Feb 91 21:59:06 GMT Organization: Systemware Inc., Toronto Lines: 16 I've heard from various sources that one must be careful about setting up a Novell file server on an IDE drive, and in particular, certain IDE drives should be avoided entirely. We are presently in need of setting up a Novell system using SFT Netware 2.15c on a 386-25 clone, and because of financial constraints, would like to use one of: 1) Seagate 1102-A IDE drive 2) Conner CP-3184 IDE drive 3) Quantum QT80-AT IDE drive Can anyone comment which of these drives is most preferable, or whether we should even be considering an IDE drive at all. Much appreciated...... Mark and Brian
