Message-ID: <1991Feb13.223435.8598@uwovax.uwo.ca> Date: 14 Feb 91 03:34:34 GMT Lines: 15 I'm confused about what exactly determines the number of colours on a VGA and higher colour monitor. That is, is it a function of the monitor, the video card (256K, 512K, 1024K), or both? Can any VGA (640x480) monitor display 256 colours? Can any Ultra VGA (1024x768) monitor with a 512K (or 1024K?) super VGA card display 256 colours in the 1024x768 mode? I apologize if this discussion came up before, but I'm new to this group.
