I had no trouble redefining te sizes and keys of subscripts using "commands"

1) choose long menus from (usually) the edit menu
2) choose commands from the edit menu
3) type 't' then scroll up and select superscript
4) over where it says "2 pt" type 3 
5) click the add button
6) you may mouse down on the thae arrow and see a list of the usable subscripts
   sizes with diamonds nex to them are present in menus

   you may select any size and click the add or remove button to take them
   out of menus

7)  Big hint! Step 6 works for fonts,, you may have three million fonts but
    using this trick configure your program so only 5 of them appear in the
    microsoft word menu.
