Yes, you understand the problem exactly. The only known way to make this work is to open the paper in Word and then Save As... with a new name or the "Fast Save" option turned off. Not a wonderful solution, I'm sure. Niles and Paragon are working hard on getting compatibility, and we'll let you know as soon as we support Nisus.
