Keywords: Police Quest Ruin Disk Copy Protected Message-ID: <16496@burdvax.PRC.Unisys.COM> Date: 14 Feb 91 15:15:05 GMT Sender: news@PRC.Unisys.COM Reply-To: jjs@PRC.Unisys.COM (James Solderitsch) Organization: Unisys Corporation, Paoli Research Center; Paoli, PA Lines: 22 My son borrowed someone's (old) copy of the game Police Quest II. While using it, one of the game disks went bad. This is the disk where a game in-progress is saved. The particular file holding this information is scrambled in some way and I couldn't recover the file with SUM utilities. This was an official copy with the copy protection scheme in tact. I think Sierra On-Line made this game and so they may be willing to replace the disk for the original owner. But... I would rather not trouble the owner to replace a disk that was broken in my possession. So, I am willing to buy someone's used (but working) copy of this game, hopefully at a reasonable price. If anyone knows if this game is still being sold new, I would appreciate hearing about it -- where, how much etc. Send info to Jim Solderitsch jjs@PRC.Unisys.COM (in Pennsylvania) phone(day) 215 648 2831 phone(eve) 215 527 1022
