I have owned my HP Deskwriter for nearly a year now and have been very happy with its printout and overall performance. I have yet to put in a new ink cartridge (which is water resistant..waiting in my drawer till the current one runs dry). A colleague of mine informed me that the new ink tends to have problems on some papers (in terms of quality of type) and does even better on others. Well, I personally have been using Xerox 4204 with good results. Will this change when I go with the new cartridge? BTW, How good is the new ink? Is it water-proof, smudge-proof, highlightable? Comments and experiences would be greatly appreciated. Please email me and I'll summarize if there is interest. Thanks in advance. ---Derek Fong fong@cive.stanford.edu thewho@portia.stanford.edu
