I've had the dovefax since November with no major problems except that the
power supply cuts out after about five or six hours. I've replaced it with a
better one from, yes , the drug store. No problems since. I chose it over the
Abaton interfax which is also a 9600 baud fax and a 2400 baud modem because the
dove was cheaper and because of the future upgrade to voice mail as well as
MNP5. It should have a dedicated phone line, I believe since a PBX line
definitely won't work, and yes you need to leave your computer on to receive
faxes.In dealing with the Dove company itself, I found them to be quite
disorganised but eventually resolved problems.
