I believe that you are taking me out of context. What I meant, and obviously I was not completely clear, is that they were shortsighted. They knew about slots (having put them in apple II's). My point was that when the MAC was first designed, the designers were so shortsighted as to feel that 128k was all anyone would ever need. They cannot claim ignorance as an excuse.
