I am new to programming on the Mac. I am looking for recommendations on
where to start. I have a Mac LC with 4Mb RAM, 40Mb HD and 12" Apple color
monitor.

  (1) What is a good book on writing programs for the Mac ? I have
      C programming experience and a little bit of X-window programming.
      I am interested in writing CDEVs, INITs, and application programs
      for business and real estate.

  (2) What is the APDA and what service does it provide ?

  (3) Any related information is appreciated.
