Steve Freidrich announced at the MacApp developer's conference that his engineers (he's a higher level mgr of the MacApp group) came to him and asked to convert MacApp to C++. Apparently, they converted 2.0 (or whatever the latest version) in just 2 weeks. Since then, all development effort has been in C++. There were some serious disussions about the future of Pascal (see below) but nothing concrete was decided - they're sticking to C++. Understandably, guys like David Neal @ Symantec and Stever Jasik (the Debugger) were a little peaved. Even some people at Apple are not happy with the decision (someone was passing out C++ barf bags). Oh well, we'll see...
