For example the problem I have currently is that all the applications that have generic application icons now have MacPaint Icons also all the hypercard stacks are now generic documents ( no stack icons). Some other problems that have been occuring are that the Desktop Manager doesn't know where applications are across disk volumes. I have an 100MB disk that is partitioned into 2 50MB partitions (I used Silverlining to do this). When I double click on a MacWrite file and it tells me that the application that I am looking for is busy or missing (under finder). But when I go to the application (MacWrite on the other disk volume) and double click on it everything is fine. I can then go and open the file with no problem. I was just wondering is this a general problem with the Desktop Manager or is there a newer verions that I can get a hold of (not sure what version of DM I have it seems pretty old). Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike mlg@cblph.att.com
