Lines: 13 Have your friend buy a copy of Larry Pina's "Macintosh Repair and Upgrade Secrets", Hayden Press (I think). It gives troubleshooting and repair advice and lists sources for the parts (including flyback transformer) in the appendix. I ordered a flyback and upgrade kit (to prevent future power supply problems) from a place recommended by Pina and was pleased with the results. The parts were about $50 all-told (a flyback should run $20-$30 by itself) and the book was $32. I can't remember the name of the place I got the parts from, but email me if you need know. Your friend really should get Pina's book, though. -Ralph (rgonzal@chowder.rutgers.edu)
