Having seen no answers (though one possibly related question), I'm assuming no one knows or (I hope) no one noticed. So I'll try again. Sorry if it's a repeat. -- I see something odd in /usr/adm/messages. Logging out seems to put these two lines in there. The first one I guess is expected. But the second one looks like something not right, maybe a glitch in netinfo or the way I set myself up? I get one of these for every logout. I watched the time carefully, and these messages are associated with logging out, not with the subsequent logging in. This is an ordinary user (not root), running in group other, $HOME is /Users/, shell is /bin/csh. Feb 8 13:34:12 yak -[134]: loginwindow: Workspace exited ts 0 cd 0 rc 0 sv 0 ss 0. Feb 8 13:34:13 yak -[134]: loginwindow: netinfo problem - No such directory This doesn't seem to affect anything, as far as I can tell, but one should not get a diagnostic for no reason. Does anyone know what's going on here? <> Scandal is gossip made tedious by morality. -- Jess Anderson <> Madison Academic Computing Center <> University of Wisconsin Internet: anderson@macc.wisc.edu <-best, UUCP:{}!uwvax!macc.wisc.edu!anderson NeXTmail w/attachments: anderson@yak.macc.wisc.edu Bitnet: anderson@wiscmacc Room 3130 <> 1210 West Dayton Street / Madison WI 53706 <> Phone 608/262-5888
