I would like to preempt a currently playing sound without having the current sound, and all others remaining in the queue, being flushed. The default way of handling a preempt is to flush the sound queue and the current sound when a preemting sound is played. Is it possible to play around with the preempt value in SNDStartPlaying to achieve this? Do I have to setup the driver ahead of time to tell it how to handle preempts? Do I (gasp) have to write my own sound driver? Your expertise will be most appreciated Don Radvan radvan@sun04c.MDI.COM radvan@mdivax1.UUCP Motorola Mobile Data Division // Disclaimers apply. 11411 No. 5 Road Richmond, B.C.
