You do NOT need to go to the local Radio Shack store.  ALL items from
National Parts can be purchased direct via an 800 number (sorry, but I
don't have any of the 3 handy right now) and sent DIRECTLY to your home.

Upset because the store takes a few days to get off their duff and send 
in the order?  Do it yourself!
