I'm posting this for a friend so pardon any bonehead mistakes.

He has run into a problem with his Model 4 using version 6.1 of 
TRS-DOS in that he cannot advance the operating system date beyond
1988.

If anyone knows what he's referring to and has a patch to the op/sys to
remedy the problem, please reply (via e-mail) to me or to Dave Keim
(keim@ecsvax).
