Hmm, I got exactly the same thing on our Sun 3/160. I was told that strip
got rid of the symbol table on the binary (how this differs from what you
get with -g I don't know), but it never got rid of 2/3 of the file size !

I too can't see any difference in functionality after stripping, anyone
at Meiko care to somment, or anyone explain what strip does ?
