For them it isn't very helpful to become familiar with hints on formatting formula-type x (...) with Tex. While reading this newsgroup I think LaTeX questions (and hints) are more general ones. Tex articles seem to deal with very specialized features of Tex. So the readers of this newsgroup seem to be a very heterogenous group.
